We all hate slavery. Nobody but you is saying I somehow condoned slavery, and even you don't believe it. I quoted Harriet Tubman and instead of evaluating her own words and frustrations, you labeled me a Nazi, racist ,etc.
Never once did I say the slaves were happy in slavery. I simply stated the most evil effect of the institution was the numbness it produced to the point of stripping people of the will to be free, to flat out refuse Tubman's offer of freedom. And I do see a parallel in today's welfare State WORLWIDE, not just here. That is more than likely what really made you mad. If you have a different take on her words, fine. But your playing of the race card was typical of those who don't like it when one strays off the contents of your 3X5 card of what is permissible to discuss or analyze. Sorry, but I'm not intimidated by Alinsky type tactics.
