Right!!!!
I see Canaan as true Kingdom living, which not many believers ever enter.

AMEN. You have focused on the very gospel. The newness of life in Ro. 6:4,
corresponds to walking in the Spirit. There is no "new birth" sans the Holy Spirit,
for it is the PROMISE of eternal life: "...you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
For the PROMISE is unto you...". The Holy Spirit is proof of the new birth!

Amen! Yet so many think merely having the Spirit is walking in newness of life, when it's not. It's the means, but identification with Christ's death must be understood.

Re: Veil of flesh
thanks... I agree. I need to acknowledge my death daily. A burial helps people to do that. We call tombstones memorials. I acknowledge my death through baptism.

There is no newness without "...baptism for the remission of sins..."; but wrong
understanding of scripture is simply wrong teaching. How can the children be weaned
from milk and honey and mature into "...the work of the ministry..." except they be
properly taught.
There are far too many would-be teachers among believers.

I'm not trying to be pompous. I used to be a typesetter (in printing), and we
used that word to describe a font (type of letters). It was serif and sans serif.
Anyway, there it is.

just lobbin grenades here, but see the dichotomy inherent in "go, and tell people about (Christ)" and this. Not saying that we do not need education, understand--but this ultimately comes from the Holy Spirit, and not a person; although it is absorbed through many persons. It allows for a priestly caste, iow.
