Gladly and Thank you!
I am sure that everyone has their own definition of Apostolic but here is mine:
Apostolic - Believing, Living and Demonstrating what the Apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ did.
I spent almost 20 years in the "Apostolic" ministry and movement. It was RARE to see ANY demonstration of the Apostolic beyond water baptism in the name of Jesus and then it was done so many different ways and was not (and is not) consistent at all in wording. If we believe that the WORDS matter then it has to be uniform and ALL have to say the EXACT SAME THING. That has not and WILL NOT happen!
It was rare to see true REPENTANCE & DELIVERANCE, devils cast out, the nine gifts of the Spirit in operation, Operation of the Five Fold Ministry, a true love for The Lord Jesus Christ instead of just HIS NAME. The Power of God demonstrated in instant visible miracles, healings, signs, wonders and the Prophetic flowing in preaching and personal ministry.
It saddens me for I can see what the Apostolic Movement could be but sadly will never be because is is guided and driven by ego, elitism and sectarianism. The leaders walk in fear of man and will not sit down the false and lying prophets among them for fear of losing some control or popularity.
What the leadership and hierarchy cannot control they try to kill (murder their influence). It is a sad day in the Apostolic Movement that men lord over God's heritage and rule with corrupt political ambition.
I am thankful that I am not a part of it and left it 12 years ago.
I would like to say that when i said Apostolic ment following the apostles' teaching,I was'nt talking about the denomination that call themselves apostolic, but i was talking about the ones that base what they believe totally upon JESUS and the apostles teaching. And not man made teachings of a denomational church.
I did look up the word Apostolic in the dictionaryand this is what it said:
"derived from the Apostles in regular succession."
so when someone says that they are Apostolic they are saying that they follow the Apostles teaching,or they are carrying on the Apostles work.
"That is my desire is to carry on their work, and to be like JESUS."
John.13-35:"By this shall all men know that you are my disciples,if ye have Love one to another
And i would like to say that i agree with your last two post.GOD Bless!!!
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt BELIEVE in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Jn. 8:24 One of the scriptures you quoted - doesn't quite go along with your doctrine!
John 8: 24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am [he], ye shall die in your sins.
Thanks for condemning me to hell. Does that make you feel better to have condemned a soul to hell today, and you're not even God?
I have condemned no one to Hell I gave you the Book it is up to you. Obey the gospel and abide in the faith and be saved or reject the gospel walk away from the faith and be lost. the choice is YOURS not mine. I do not desire to see anyone lost. I do hope you will recover yourself before it is everlasting too late.
If you have heard me preach then you know I am not ugly or nasty. True I am NOT God but I do have His word and it is forever settled in Heaven. Telling the truth is not being ugly telling a lie is being ugly and Trinitarianism is a lie.
We baptize according to what Jesus instructed the Apostles to do and what the Apostle Peter preached on the Day of Pentecost to be baptized every one of you "In the Name of Jesus Christ."
Bro Eply... you're not called to judge. You're called to preach the truth. Our founders didn't believe like you. Many preached along side of Trinitarian brethren.
You are wrong I am called to judge. Have you not read 1Jn.4:1-8, Gal. 1:8, Rev. 2.2, 1Cor.2:15.
Having grown up in the Pentecostal movement that Steve Epley is a part of and hearing him preach myself, I understand the rhetoric this man speaks of. The "do or die" salvation message. Except most people in this movement can't agree on the specifics of salvation other than to be baptized/immersed in Jesus name, speak in tongues, and then they add in various standards that no one really agrees on including dress codes and the uncut hair doctrine, but most importantly, one thing most of them agree on is this - to hate all Trinitarians, and anyone else who doesn't believe in Jesus Name only religion.
I believe Steve Epley is on here today simply to stir the pot, and to get a big reaction, and for pure entertainment. He has no thought or intention of listening to what anyone else has to say, or to even prayerfully consider that his doctrine may be not quite right. It may not be all right, and it may not be all wrong, but his attitude speaks louder than his words.
If any man thinks they have God all figured out, then that is like the created saying to the Creator, i know better than you. And that my friend, is scary. I would never want to stand and say, my doctrine, and my belief system is the ONLY way to heaven! I would encourage others to search the scriptures for themselves, and find it out for themselves, but never would I want to condemn anyone to hell because they didn't believe my doctrine.
When Paul reprimanded the church about false doctrine, it was to those who no longer even believed in Jesus. He recognized though, that there would be vegetarians, and meat eaters, circumcised, and uncircumcised, differences of opinion, and possibly doctrine. BUT we are not to judge men by their doctrine.... but by their FRUIT!
What kind of fruit are we seeing evidenced here today in this post by Steve Epley?
I am so thankful that I will have to answer to a faithful judge, with the blood of Jesus covering me, and not have to answer to the men of this movement (such as the Apostolic Churches International, or the AMF and so on) who are for the most part, men who LOVE to cast people into hell!!!
God will be our faithful judge, not man!!!!! Steve Epley, you have no right to condemn anyone to hell, that is a position only God serves in!!! Pointing souls to Christ is your (and our) responsibility, not condemning them to hell!!
By the way I am not a member of the ACI or AMF. Just making sure you info is correct.
No you have condemned! Anyone who doesn't believe exactly Acts 2:38 is lost, and if you're lost, then I guess hell is the only place left for you. I hope you sleep well tonight knowing that you've done this!
I have heard you preach, although it has been a very very long time, as I was a child.
Why not point souls to Christ, and leave the judging up to Him? Instead of condemning, realizing that fear saves no man. Only a true relationship with God built on the foundation of the blood of Jesus will bring salvation, not fear of dying and going to hell. Fear is not of God.
If when you say Jesus you are speaking of the Son born of Mary then His entire natural life but when you say Jesus He is the eternal God and the Son of man.

How long do you believe that Jesus was in His Father?

Why not teach love instead of fear?
My advise to you is go back to where you was. I will sleep well for I have told the truth. NO ONE is saved outside the Acts 2:38 message.
