I think knowing that it was all in God's plan, there would have been a crucifixion no matter what...but in order for it to fall in place in a "natural" sense...there needed to be some folks who were easily available with their wicked natures.

One would have to assume that since the crucifixion was prophetic it would occur regardless of people. But I would say that, yes, it would take a Caiphas minded individual.

Well, I suppose that depends on whether your goal was to persuade others to agree with your point of view or antagonize and alienate them from your point of view. If its the latter, then I guess you hit it out of the park.

Regardless of specific individuals[except Jesus of course ] yes, but it would need people to carry it out......
