Hmmmmm.....

Re: Post-Divorce: She Commands Angels

While angels many times serve us however commanding them is commanding a lot of power....

It's funny that the HMH advocates get lost in "uncut hair" and "magic" semantics and don't seem to get the real issue

Re: Post-Divorce: She Commands Angels

Wouldn't just be better for women who are so inclined to take up some 21st century version of a "Nazarite Vow" and refer it their consecrations as so?

Most of the people that I know that are stuck on this are stuck on it out of a sincere love for Jesus Christ-- unless they lie when I ask them direct questions.

SO they are probably not lying. They do what they do out of love. If God honors their consecration out of love so be it.

Why are there women and preachers that take something so beautiful as an expression of love and screw it up?!

Re: Post-Divorce: She Commands Angels

Paul does NOT say anything about having authority with angels or having power due to obedience.

He says "1Co 11:8 For man did not come from woman, but woman from man.
1Co 11:9 Neither was man created for the sake of woman, but woman for man.
1Co 11:10 For this reason a woman should have a symbol of authority3 on her head, because of the angels.4"

BTW the AMP reads 1Co 11:10 [2] Therefore she should [be subject to his authority and should] have a covering on her head [as a token, a symbol, of her submission to authority, [3] that she may show reverence as do] the angels [and not displease them].
