Interesting survey results about how much Americans know about religion. If you want to take the survey before you read about the results, go here first:
OK, I'm late to the party. I got 87%. I should have gotten one of the wrong answers right if I had hadn't been so quick on the button. Better than 93% of the public. Not so bad for a back slider. LOL

Did you read the article? Maybe you're not backslidden enough!

Tone it down, Timmy, after all there are delicate, fragile Apostolics here that might get offended at the slightest little puff of wind that passes their way.

Been thinking about extraterrestrial life, lately. What kind of societies might develop? What kind of religions would they have? Would there be a bunch of false religions and one true one? Would they need redemption? Would their first two beings have been given free will? Would there have been a tree of the knowledge of good and evil? Would there have been a serpent? What if the first two beings didn't sin? Might their kids have sinned, or their kids, or their kids? Would they have had the same requirements we do -- 100% perfection? Would they have the same penalty for falling short? Would God have had a plan of redemption for them? Would it be the same plan he gave us, or something different? Would he have inspired a book to be written with all the details, clearly explained?
CS Lewis wrote a story about that idea, and how someone went to a planet where there was an Adam and Eve scenario, and the serpent was in the process of organization in tempting the woman, etc. Interesting read.
