Re: My Granddaughter!

Renda, does Mattie sleep well at night? My daughter says Autumn loves to sleep during the day, and wakes up at night more.

She's doing really good. Night before last she went to bed at 8:30 and woke up at 6:30 a.m. They were soooo happy!

She doesn't sleep as much during the day as she was because she's afraid she's going to miss something......

Oh that's great. I think Autumn will too, it's quieter there during the day though. I told her stop holding her until she falls asleep. Let her quiet herself, and sleep.

Yep - - they can comfort themselves.

She needs to make some noises during the day to keep the girl up!

Cindy - -I just read this on my DIL's FB page - - it seems to be what made the difference with Mattie sleeping through the night.

"we tried keeping Mattie up longer in the afternoon to sleep longer at night. We are trying to feed her ever three hours during the day for a 9,12,3,6 schedule. Eat. Play. Sleep. But sometimes she doesn't sleep! We are getting rest now, she started sleeping through the night last week!!! Yay!!!"

I will suggest that to my daughter. She really does need to let her stay awake more in the day time. That way they can both get rest at night.
