Be encouraged. God has heard our prayers and is working it out. No doubt a full recovery is just ahead.

I think that would be right. His bilirubin count would be up and down. I read that Jaundice in premature babies needs to be treated at a lower bilirubin level than in full term babies in order to avoid complications. He is still under the light.
When she told me that his sucking and swallowing skills needed to be developed, I felt the presence of God and then I knew that is what is wrong. He is going to be fine! Thank you, Jesus!!!
My last post on this thread will be when he is in his OWN BED and WITHOUT a monitor!

Praise the Lord for the good report ! And, yes - the fulfilled promise is coming down the dusty road!
He WILL be in his own bed and without a monitor!
Believing with you!

Funny, we prayed for Margie this morning in our prayer meeting and I had more faith to pray for her than I did my own grandson. What is up with that?

Pressing-On, thank you so much for praying for me this morning at your prayer meeting.
You are right tho - it IS very often easier to have faith for someone else than it is to have faith for those closest to you. I think that's probably because we are all human. We want to KEEP control or to BE IN control - especially when we're talking about those we love the most. We honestly feel like it's our job to protect them as much as we possibly can. There's nothing wrong with that. That's what love does! But we also have to keep in mind that no one loves our loved ones as much as GOD does
The great thing about our forum is that when we are in those times that we need to have someone be strong in prayer - and we can't separate ourselves enough to be able to do that as well as we should - it's at those times that we lean on each other. We're here for you Pressing-On. For you, your husband, your daughter and son-in-law and your precious grandson. WE ARE HOLDING YOU ALL UP IN PRAYER. Please don't feel guilty that it's easier for you to have faith for me than it is for you to have faith for your grandson. That's very normal. Actually, I am having a much easier time believing for you and your family than I am believing for me

Thank you, Margie!!! You know we are ALL holding you up in prayer as well! I wrote your name, on the prayer board, right under Subby's son's name.
Yes, it is harder to pray for those that are close to you. I was so wound up at prayer meeting, I needed everyone else to pray so I could get there too! Finally one of the ladies put her arm around me and I was able to break through. Sometimes, I bottle up when I'm stressed out.
A women in our church is going in for the same thing you are on Thursday! She just called to tell me about it. She has already gone through Leukemia and is in remission. This is something else!!!

Re: PRAY for PO's Daughter and Grandson
Great news!!!!!
One of the positives of your daughter having him early - - - she didn't have to go through the last four weeks miserable!
He'll be fine - - we all knew he would all along, but I know it's not been easy at all. Can't wait to see that last post in this thread!

I honestly wasn't sure, at times, he was going to be fine. There has been too much up and down and not knowing what the problem was. Anything could be wrong when it's a preemie. Of course, for me, having a brother that died with a hole in his heart when he was three months old was always in my mind, but I never said a thing to my daughter about it.
I also talked to my DIL and she said their son was born at 36 weeks, considered a preemie, and didn't develop his sucking skills. He just wouldn't eat. That was an ordeal. Another "Whimpy White Boy"! LOL!
My daughter is saying that her fever is still high and she has chills. That doesn't sound like something attributed to a urinary tract infection. She said she was having problems with burning before the baby was born and read that if you have a continuing urinary tract infection, you could deliver early! Hmmmm....
Anyway, she is on antibiotics and I know she will be well soon.

Re: PRAY for PO's Daughter and Grandson
Mizpeh,
You deleted this, but it was caught in my e-mail.
"Sounds like pyelonephritis."
I looked this up and it does sound exactly like her symptoms, i.e., the back pain, headache, etc. Thanks for the information. Hope you didn't mind me putting it back on the thread!
