1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Question: If Jesus is the mediator between men and God, and if Jesus is God, doesn't that break a fundamental rule of mediation? It's a conflict of interest!

BTW, the question also applies to Trinnies: The mediator's Father is one of the two parties in mediation. That's a conflict of interest, too.

That's taking for granted Paul's use of language and interpreting it hyper-literally.

The question for Paul is, "In which way does the Messiah serve as a 'mediator'?"
