This is SOOOOO true! The reason I feel uneasy in some churches is because they might do some things that I'm not accustomed to. But.. I recognize the presence of God!

Exactly. When you are at a church and they crank up that cassette recording of William Branham it can get pretty uncomfortable but up till then that praise and worship was awesome!

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I don't believe the position is open, Sister A. But if you'd like I'll tell everyone that you're looking to settle down and I'm certain a good position will open up soon.

A dehumidifier and real AC cooling would go a long way helping those sleeves standards to come more into line.

Of course, guys like me who are really buff are often requested to wear short sleeves and such. We're what they call "eye candy" for the ladies. But some of you other guys ... it'd be best if you just followed the rules and did what you were told.

Re: church in houston is charasmatic

My daughter was out raisng money for her school a few days when a lady with an oxygen tank came up to her table. My daughter told her where she went to church. The lady jumps back and stumbles over her oxygen tank and says she doesn't like our pastor. I told my daughter next time that happens just step on the air hose until she sees the light.

We have had 3 people healed of cancer in our church this year. 1 person was healed of menigitis. God gave me a 2004 Kia Spectra with less than 80,000 miles. I did not have to buy the car. No payments.

I wonder about this idiot who blew off her potential answer to healing because of an opinion of someone she never met. I don't understand how someone can walk into a church where and say God can't change people's lives in that place. Chances are the poster is like all the other self righteous creatures when they walk into a different church. They are there to judge instead of receive from God. God won't disappoint. They won't receive squat.
