I like the taste of marzipan personally.
In our family we order a princess cake for all the girls on their bday, it is covered with marzipan.

Marzipan:
Ingredients:
2 cups granulated sugar
1/8 tsp cream of tartar
4 cups ground almonds (or almond meal)
2 egg whites
Powdered sugar for dusting
Fondant:
Ingredients
1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup shortening
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon clear vanilla extract
2 pounds confectioners' sugar

I would probably want to use a marshmallow fondant recipe. I've read that it tastes much better. This is the YouTube clip I was talking about!

It is really big in Sweden, I personally don't like it at all! I have had it sent to me as a gift, I just fake it and send a big thank you back! LOL!
