We were without electricity for several hours off and on since last night about 7pm. My parents were without electricity for about 15 hours straight. Landlines and internet service was also down.

We're just hoping the electricity stays on now. Trees here are loaded with ice. If the wind gets up here, we can probably look at more power outages from trees breaking and taking power lines down with them.

The trees here are loaded with ice too, Tina. I drove down my road this morning and one that is in a yard down the road from me was bowed over so far that the branches scraped my car as I passed. Alot of the trees remind me of someone bowed over from osteoporosis. And then I've seen several that were completely damaged, like the one Renda posted.

Happy Monday to all of my Gabby friends.

So far today, I've showered, did a load of laundry, balanced the checkbook, made 2 pans of dinner rolls and a big pot of homemade chicken noodle soup for supper. Now I have a dentist appt. at 2:00. Yuck!!!

I didn't have laundry to do, other than one load to dry (yeah!)... but I didn't cook-not even breakfast, and I haven't balanced the checkbook in... awhile.

I did win a free pizza this morning though!!!

Homemade chicken soup is actually semi-homemade at my house. I take the easy way out. Brown some chopped onions (from the freezer section) and some chopped celery (ok, that's fresh), then toss in a bag of shredded carrots.
Then I open a large can of Amish Canned Chicken (from the grocery store) and dump that in, mushing the chicken up so it really falls apart. Then I throw in a couple of large cans of chicken stock and some pepper. Let that boil for a while (a couple of hours), then toss in a bag of Amish noodles. That's it. Easy chicken noodle soup.

I had to wait for Eddie to drive me to church this morning, and he had an early meeting, so I ended up sitting around the house for a while this morning just waiting. Not my favorite thing to do when I'm all ready to go.

At the office, I finished the huge End of Year report for the second church, and worked all afternoon on the one for Love & Truth Ministries International. I got it down to where I was two cents off and was going nuts. I finally left at 5pm and brought it home. After supper, I sat down and finally found the 2 cents!!! Praise the Lord! Now I just have one more report to do, but I dread it because it's the big one! This is my "grouchy" time of year. LOL

Sherri, it sounds like you are making big progress tho, no matter how grouchy you get doing it. LOL!

Poor Justin (my 20 year old). He works at McDonald's where they only do the schedule on a weekly basis. He came in the other day disgusted because he was only schedule one day this week and then only 4 hours. So today I went to the dentist. When I got home, there were two messages on our machine from McDonald's wanting to know where Justin was. They said he was scheduled at 3:15 today till close. So he double checked and guess what! He's actually scheduled EVERY day this week!. hehehehe
