I guess it's time to go to work now...

I just can't seem to wake up today!

Have another new listing to process...that's the 4th in a week's time.

Re: Gabby's

I hope the weatherman is way off with the forecast.... I do not want snow/sleet/freezing rain!!!! (But I have prepared just in case... and have a few extra supplies on hand)

Today has been a busy day. I've done all the laundry, cleaned house and made a large crockpot of homemade chili. The only thing I have left to do from todays chore list is to remind my husband to check and make sure the dogs have the heat lamps turned on in their kennels before the temp starts really dropping this evening.

I gathered up all of the textbooks that needed to be sold and made a deal online to sell them. Now I just have to find a box that they will all fit in so that they can be shipped out tomorrow.

I thought about making some sugar free banana nut muffins, but that's as far as it went. Maybe I'll put that on tomorrow's list of things to do.

The roofers have finished, and I am glad-- I don't think I could stand another day of it sounding like I had a herd of elephants on the roof.

Michael was extremely cooperative today in getting his schoolwork done. That in itself was a small miracle--especially since he wasn't happy at all about all the noise being made on the roof.

Now I can relax for about an hour while the chili finishes simmering in the crock pot-- so I'm going to go sit in a recliner with my feet propped up and look at some of these magazines that came in the mail today. (Unless something else here distracts me)

Re: Gabby's

I'm preparing for the weather too. We got the generator out and checked it, and it wouldn't crank. The battery was dead! So we have it hooked up to a battery charger and hopefully by morning, it will crank or we will have to get a battery if we can get out of the driveway!!! I had to work late at the church, so I sent Eddie to the store on his way home and he bought all the normal storm supplies - milk, bread, etc., etc. I am doing all the laundry tonight, in case we lose power in a few hours. Eddie made sure the pilot light on the gas logs is working.

Hopefully the weather men will be wrong (again) and we won't get the horrid weather. But we have before, and it wasn't fun, so I want to be prepared.

Re: Gabby's

Deer stew made, roast in the crockpot, bread bought, (hate milk so we don't buy it unless needed for cooking), candles ready, generator ready, and laundry done. Ready as I'm gonna be!

He is stronger getting up and down and walking but he is still in ALOT of pain and is not sleeping much at all because there is no comfortable position for him. He goes to the doc next week for a two week checkup so maybe we'll find out how he wants to treat it now.

Re: Gabby's

Will be meeting with an architect/designer to go over some house plans today!

We've been wanting to remodel/add on to our home for many years now, but nothing has worked out to be able to do this. So I'm excited to see what this architect has come up with.

I'm sorry that everybody is snowed in! Or maybe the better term would be snowed OUT? Are internet connections being interrupted?

Re: Gabby's

Mrs., that sounds like you are entering an exciting phase of your life Good for you! Keep us posted. Show us pictures!

Tamor, I've been wondering about Jon too. I hope they can figure something out to help him when he sees the doctor next week. Poor guy

And you girls that are iced in --- there's a small part of me that might even be a little jealous. LOL. you get to stay home, get some things done that you might not have taken the time for if you hadn't been stuck there, spend time with your loved ones who are also stuck with you, read a good book............... Of course, on the other hand, if you lose power - well, that's a whole other story!

Excited for you! My ex and I remodeled a house 11 years ago and it's alot of work but it is fun and rewarding.

And on the other note, my cable and internet service was down for several hours last night and this morning.
