There's no "if" here....Prophecy is N-O-T a sermon from the Scriptures, as any Lexicon will tell you. Sheeeeesh! Besides, who ever said that I was "prophesying" when I preach/teach????????
When did the pulpit come into play?
When did the building come into play?
When did the suit and tie etc and current roles being propagated in many
churches come into play?
False doctrine?
When did the Apostles do this?
I wonder if they ever took up an offering since Paul asked the church to lay aside
things for his coming. I never saw where a basket was passed around unless fish and
bread were being given out?
Be honest about what is and isn't false doctrine.
Is it possible you are seeing it only from your point of view? Or world view?
hum......interesting.....
Examine more than a dear lady who is preaching and teaching strangers the Gospel.

Oh my goodness! Where does the Bible explicitly forbid any of these practices:__________? Now, where does the Bible explicitly forbid women teaching/preaching TO THE CHURCH [not talking about soul-winning...for about the 10th time now]? I Tim. 2:11-15 & I Cor. 14:34. Sorry, try again.....................

Re: Can Women Pastor ?
BTW the gift of Prophecy is a word from the Lord just like the words on printed paper in the multitudes of Bibles being used. What in the world is the difference in expounded the words that have been prophesied or saying thus saith the Lord. No difference. My Bible tells me that the words printed on the pages of our Bible are inspired by the same
Spirit that gives inspiration....The Holy Spirit of God.
What may be the case is that you are in the midst of dead churches controlled by men
who don't allow the gifts to move so you cannot fathom a woman standing in the midst of a group of people anointed proclaiming thus saith the Lord Jesus Christ. I forgot to
allow for the fact that you may have a very different world/church view than I do.
Sorry Brother forgive me. The word does say also that the gifts are for the body and Paul was teaching on the church meeting in that instance in Corinthians.
I will continue to pray for you. It is possible that down the road you may have a clearer view.
In Jesus

I too am sincere...every peice of evidence that has been uncovered has proved Acts 8 that both men and women went everywhere and preached...so I will do whatever I can in the little time that remains for me...eternity will tell...there is no use of becoming bitter enemies over this subject...I am sure if he pastors again I will never stand in his pulpit however I will walk through each door God opens...
There is not even much of a need for my ministry any more we have raised up so many preachers...I can mostly sit back and enjoy...but there was a time...
My dear brother must think I am in false doctrine...not long ago I spoke to one of my sons that made an opposite statement saying men that did not believe in women in ministry were in false doctrine...It is a serious thing to judge our brothers and sisters...
I chose to love even though we might not chose to be close friends...
By the way I have many friends that have strong opinions on this subject...I just think some things we just have to leave in he hands of a just God...
Just like wine and grapejuice......and a hundred other things...

"Historical evidence" [95% of which is trinitarian, by the way] does not erase the very plain Bible commands regarding this subject. No one has efficiently dealt w/ the very clear language of I Tim. 2:11-15.
Regarding the statement by your son, what Bible verse teaches that if a man doesn't believe in women preachers in the church, then he's in "false doctrine":__________? Sheeeesh, it's just the opposite according to the Scriptures.
Besides, as I've said numerous times, soul winning is not the same context as I Tim. 2 & I Cor. 14. I honestly can't believe that this is even a debatable issue. What's debateable about "I do not allow......."???????????
Very busy today, try to look in later. Gotta' go for now.

Tell it to Paul who wrote the verses [you know, the same verses that speak of modest apparel, hmmmm], not me. I didn't write the Bible.

The gifts of the Spirit are NOT the same thing as teaching/preaching a message to believers each week. If you don't even know the difference in the Gifts & preaching/teaching, it's no wonder you believe in "women preachers." As one scholar among us told me recently, most who believe in women preachers in the church are unscholarly. Just last Fri. night I was riding around w/ a VERY well known teacher/preacher in Pentecost & this issue came up. He indicated that he wasn't even sure if they [women preachers in the church] won't be lost because of their direct disobedience to the Bible. Sad, so very sad.

Then you'll need to pray that God remove I Tim. 2:11-15 & I Cor. 14:34 out of His Bible. Until that happens, I'll keep believing what it says! But, hey, I need the prayers!

Blessings anyway.

Re: Can Women Pastor ?
Well,,,we see things differently...I choose to leave the judging to the One who called...if HE called and He did and He sends me to hell...that is ok...for thousands will be saved because I obeyed his call...Please pray for me...

Its not what Paul wrote but how you are interpreting what Paul wrote through your own bias.
