Let me quote from the word of God and this really should sum up this thread, regardless of how men interpret Paul's writings.

Sandy I agree with what you are saying here I posted something to that affect awhile back on another thread. The husband is the head of the wife so as long as she is in subjection to him she can minister. further I feel we have it wrong about the authority of the ministry any way. The ministry are given to the church as helps not heads or rulers. Jesus is the head and under him the husband then the wife. But then that throws every ones RC dictatorship out the window and too many can't fathom that. But some will continue to see things the way they have seen them and what has been passed down from generation to generation and not step back and take another look. As long as one argues what they believe they can never see what is right before their eyes. I know I was that way for 40+ years.

Sis Alvear, this is wonderful & I whole-heartedly agree that EVERYONE should be soul-winners. By God's Grace I've personally baptized more than I can remember in Jesus' Name & seen many, many come to the knowledge of the truth in my ministry...all by God's Mercy of course. I can think of nothing in this world more rewarding than seeing souls converted to the truth out of the falseties of trinitarianism, & other erroneous doctrines.

However, I Tim. 2 & I Cor. 14 are dealing w/ the public assembly of SAINTS...not home Bible studies to the lost. That's been my point all along. When a woman gets up to "preach" in the church, she's out of her God-alloted place. But, certainly everyone should witness for the cause of Christ.

The apostle Paul says just the opposite in I Tim. 2:11-15. Think I'll stick w/ him! I rarely even respond to you since you constantly throw out the ol' "only for Paul's day" card. This does not even merit a serious response. I suppose that his teachings on modesty in vs. 9 were also "only for Paul's day"???? Silly.....

As usual, you state just the opposite of Scripture. "OBEY them that have the RULE over you, and submit yourselves to them, as they watch for your souls......" I'm certainly against Lording it over God's heritage, but to say that the ministry is not in positions of authority is just plain absurd.

I think you should take your own advice here. You constantly say just the opposite of Scripture, then tell everyone else they ned to "rethink their positions"???? No thank you, I'll stick w/ the Biblical text!
