Acts 8 tells us both MEN and women preached....deny that and you denythe BIBLE....

The women were in prison cells. How could they "went everywhere preaching" from a prison cell??? You're torturing the text to fit your presuppositions. The text DOES NOT say what you say it does. But speaking of "denying the Bible": "I do not allow a woman to teach, or to excercise authority over a man......but these things write I to you so that you may know how to behave yourself in the house of God, which IS THE CHURCH....."

Now who's "denying the Bible"??

and by the way I really don't appreciate the way you slammed Brother Scheels...He is a great man of God and has done work for God all over the world. I have known him since we were "kids" and seen God give him an awesome church from nothing. Please examine your own ministry before you slam a sucessful man of God and probably one of the most intelligent men in our ranks.

the bible saids and others....they the ones that were not in prison went everywhere and preached...if v 3 is men and women v 4 of Acts 8 is also me and women...

I see your reading Scheel again. Let me explain. Webster is a westernized dictionary, not a part of the original languages, nor translation process. And Scheels here ignores Strong's/Vine's etc. definitions of "Prophetess" [which is entirely missing in the NT, save Jezebel in Rev., hmmmm??] & simply finds a concordance rarely used anymore by scholars to butress his position. Besides, quote the rest of Young's Concordance regarding this term.

And for the 20th time now, "PROPHECY IS PRIMARILY FORETELLING....NOT DELIVERING SCRIPTURAL EXPOSITIONS TO MEN...........GOOD GRIEF!

Did you not read my complimentary remarks about him? I highly honor him & you also. I respectfully disagree w/ his book as do many other men of God. Do you just ignore these comments & plod along any-how?

In fact, as I've said, we've even contributed to the Alvear's in times past.

Regarding my identity, it's irrelevant to the biblical texts.

Read the text again. It specifies that "they that were scattered abroad [a grammatical reference to vs. 1, not vs. 3] 'went everywhere preaching....' "

How could women "went everywhere" from a prison cell? Could you please answer this question?
