have you forgotton our BIBLES were translated by trinitarians????
and do you know that the Portuguese Bible reads different than your English Bible on many occasions?

I AM no Bible teacher...however I am a history teacher.

Acts 18:24-26 (King James Version)

24And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.

25This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.

26And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly...

Priscilla was well versed in scriptures and helped expoud the word of GOD TO A MAN....

Paul never rebuked her for that but called her Prisca..

Noticeably, Paul refers to neither Prisca nor Junia as “wives.” Paul greets this couple of Priscilla and Aquilla because of “their work for the gospel.” Romans 16:3, “Greet Priscilla and Aquilla, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus. They risked their lives for me (NIV).” Paul doesn’t differentiate between Priscilla and her husband Aquilla; rather, he calls them both by the name sunergous (Strongs #4904 meaning fellow worker with him).[xiv] Later in 16:21, Paul calls Timothy by the same name. In Phil.2:4 Paul calls all apostles who were his co-workers, among whom was Luke, by this same word.[xv]

Paul later referred to this couple as his, “helpers in Christ Jesus… who have for my life laid down their own necks” (Rom. 16:4). Paul probably wrote some of his Epistles from their home at Ephesus. Priscilla and Aquilla instructed Appolos, who was already “mighty in the scriptures” (Acts 18:24), into a more excellent way.

Paul mentions the name of Priscilla (Prisca) before her husband, which was against the common practice of the time. (The King James Version actually reverses the Greek order by placing Aquilla before Priscilla, but in the Greek text Priscilla is the first noted, as also in Acts 18:26.)

On and on we could go on...but you make light of everything I say...so we will never agree...like I said it is best to stop because you will never convince me women have no part in the ministry because they do...

Histroy proves there were far more women that went to foreign fields at certain times than men to be missionaries. We personally raised 5 children that their mother was martyed in Paraguay for preaching...

I personally have never used the term that God called me to preach but HE did call me to be a missionary...and if I do not obey HIS call I will be lost...
So if I write a letter from someone's home, refer to a husband & wife as "fellow-labourers in the gospel," mention a husband & wife giving a home Bible study to someone, refer to Jill before John, are they automatically deemed as "Preachers"????????????? This is arguing from assumption, not the actual texts. Besides, there's no sense in my dealing w/ these age old arguments until you can directly deal w/ I Tim. 2:11-15, I Cor. 14:34...just for starters.

I know that you will not change your mind, because you base your doctrine on experience & supposed church history [trinitarian at that], not plainly written Scriptural instruction to the church...until it comes to the hair issue/modesty etc. It's called selectivity.

And I do not make light of everything you say, as I hold you in high regard for your sacrifices, as I've stated ad nauseum. But, sadly, you employ appeals outside of the Biblical texts in order to render Paul's plain teachings to the church ineffective. It's calles "Theological Sniping". That is, whem you simply try to take pot-shot's at someone's position, w/out providing any textual/exegetical explanation of the passages under consideration....such as I Tim. 2 & I Cor. 14:34.

1 Cor 14:34-35

Most scholars, MOST, don't believe these verses were in the original Text. They don't flow with the thought, the language, and there is no precedent by Paul (beauty of having so many of his letters) that reflect the same grammar.

Also, after talking about women praying and prophesying, as well as emphasizing the egalitarian nature of the Christian community, this would seem contrary and contradictory.

what does MOST scholars mean? 6 out of 11 that were asked in one poll, 51 out of 100? Most of the ones in Lithuania?

Re: Can Women Pastor ?

I read some of these posts to my husband and sons...they shook their heads at some of the statments...My husband said, so sad that some will never know what great preachers that we have had among us and have among us...He mentioned names like Sister Rita Dawson, Sister Mary Williams, Sister Nona Freeman, Sister Agnes Holmes, Sister Bobbie Wendel and others...

Not a one of these precious ladies took away from the kingdom but added to it...
