I don't see any reason why the sons of Seth are called the Sons of God. Who were the men? Who were the daughters of men? Wasn't Adam a man and his sons also men?
Gen 6:1 When man (Adam) began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them,

Prax,If some men are filled with the Spirit and some are not don't you think the ones filled would be sons of God and the ones not filled would be sons of men ? God breathed into Adam the breath (Spirit) of life.Breath in Hebrew is Spirit. He became a spiritual living soul. Please go back and read my posts I posted to other people. When in the garden they ate the tree of life (word of God) that fed their Spirit and kept them alive with out end.The other races God created were not filled with God's Spirit.Adam was a Spirit filled person and preached to the sons of man and got people saved.Because of Adams fall death came upon all and because of Jesus we can be made alive again. If we believe in Jesus we are made alive and our Spirit will never die. From the beginning man had a choice, either serve God or serve self (man).Adam was the first man to serve God,so God formed Adam.He was alone in the garden because he was the only Spirit filled person, not because there was no other people. So God created from Adam woman an other Spirit filled person. When I get time I will sit down and write everything that took place in creation and the garden.

You are taking what God says about making man a living being to mean he was Spirit filled. The two are NOT the same thing. God breathed LIFE into His creation, that is all. It does not say Adam was already a living being and then God filled him with the Spirit...it says God formed him from the dirt of the ground and breathed LIFE into him so he became a LIVING being...what was he before he was a living being? Lifeless....dead bodies are not living beings. Rocks are not living beings. It does NOT mean God filled him with the Holy Ghost.

Prax,You believe in man made lies.I have proven that creation and forming are two different events. What make you think God would create man and not give them natural life.In the first chapter God created man and gave him natural life.In the second chapter shows how he took one man and gave him life with out end when he formed him.

Oh, what bold statements. That is what everyone says about someone they disagree with when it comes to theology.

You did NOT prove man being created and made in Genesis 1 was different than what happened in Genesis 2. IN fact I would say we have done more than show that Genesis 2 is really just the 6th day expanded on.
I never said God would create man and not give them natural life! Again, you seem to be reading things I have not said Joel and that is concerning. God DID give them natural life WHEN God made Man (Adam, the first man) a living being.
So far you have and are only giving us assertions. You have not proven one thing nor disproven any thing I have posted. Telling others here they believe in man made lies is not going to help you one bit, but it might hurt your postion and ability to dialog on an intellectual and civil manner with the rest of us.
Chapter 2 shows God created and made the animals AND the first man by forming Adam, the first man, from the ground. It shows God making Adam a living being, not an eternal spirit being. Before that he was just something God formed from the ground.

The bottom line is that if Adam was not the first man, which Paul said he was in 1 Cor 15, then there would be extensive teaching on that in the bible, and not just "hints" of evidence to that effect in Genesis 1 and 2. There would be much more said about such an important issue.
It affects original sin. If there were people created apart from Adam, then Adam's sin did not affect them to be born in sin. Here is where people start arguing we are not born in sin, but Romans 5 refutes that. And if people were not born in sin, then they do not need Christ's atonement. To me, it's just some sensationalism in folks that try to get into "mysteries" nobody else "knows about", to give them a sense of importance.

Right on.
It reminds me of one dude's thoughts that Jesus was not God in very person. When we think of how these opinions reflect upon salvation, they are often exposed as the error they are. If Christ was not God in very person, more than as in manifestation in, say, us as believers with His Spirit, then that means an ordinary man, Jesus, was born without need for someone to die for his sins. And that makes no sense.
