Awesome!!
The Apostolic method is definitely about going out to the lost, not expecting them to come to us. People don't want to visit another church most times. They want to know "Why? Why would I visit your church? Oh, for the music? Well, we've got music. Try again."
About the only thing I see that will attract people (outside of disasters in their lives) to our churches these days is the power of the Holy Ghost in signs, miracles and wonders. This is something truly lacking in the American "church". The deaf, sick, lame, blind, addicted, etc should be hearing of a "pool" on XYZ Street where wonderful things are happening, and they should be hearing it from US!!

Yeah, but they're Baptists, it's probably shallow and empty.
JUST KIDDING!

I feel the same way too at time because of how I was raised. It was in an apostolic church but except for the tv thing it was exactly like the pentecostal church. I have to repent for being sooooooo judgmental over the years and elevating myself instead of elevating those around me. This is what I had to do to Jesus...

No, this is not a shallow message. The guy is preaching on holiness and repentance. Oh, and he preaches against easy believism.

Good preaching, huh? I thought it was an awesome message. You know what? Look at some of the missionaries out there even in the UPC they do not see things the same way we do. It is all about God and that is it. They do not play games. It is awesome!

That was a tremendous sermon.
The man has great things to say. I commend him for his guts and willingness to preach the truth regardless of the consequences.
But before everybody gets too giddy, let me remind you that the Kingdom of God begins at the New Birth. Until you have been baptized in jesus Name and filled with the Holy Ghost, you have not even seen the Kingdom.
So let's give the guy kudos for preaching a tremendous sermon, but let's pray that he gets saved, and all the Baptists too.

Before you get too judgemental, let me ask you, do you know this young man? If not, how do you know he hasn't experienced the New Birth?

Well, you have a point. I don't know him.
But if he were a Jesus Name preacher, I can't see him getting an opportunity like he had and not telling them.

It was a great message from a man still in false doctrine. He lauds several times his alignment to the SBC. That being said, he made some incredible statements that some of our own don't even have the guts to make anymore.
Besides, if this thread hadn't started there wouldn't be anything to provoke the 'UPC = Antichrist' jibberish. I know... I know... technically it's not that blatant but I DO find it amazing how quickly we can go from "The SBC guy preached a straight message" to "The UPC is the enemy" type stuff.
