2 gunmen at Virginia Tech

Remember this, because I have a feeling this information will "disappear" shortly, it is already being ignored...

BLACKSBURG, Va. -- A shooting at a Virginia Tech dorm Monday left one person dead and one wounded, a state government official with knowledge of the case told The Associated Press.

A government official with knowledge of the shooting said the gunman had been arrested.
From http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/...260892,00.html

Now, I can understand if witnesses said "an Asian man" did the shooting, and in the chaos and confusion the nearest Asian man was grabbed...

BUT, we aren't hearing ANYTHING about the "mistake", about the arrested guy being released, about any statement he might have made regarding his arrest... Things which WOULD be newsworthy items to report.

BUT, we have a "main stream news source" claiming "A government official with knowledge of the shooting" reporting the shooter had been arrested. Not reporting "a suspect has been arrested", not reporting "we have someone in custody who we are looking at", but "THE GUNMAN" had been ARRESTED.

Early reports indicated that there were TWO SUSPECTS in this incident.

When you combine these early reports with the fact that the FIRST shooting took place at about 7:!5 am, then there is a lag time of a couple hours, and then the SECOND shooting taking place about 9:30, a half mile away, and supposedly the gunman (Cho) spent that lag time going to the PO to mail videos and pics to NBC (of all places), it looks like we really are NOT getting the "full scoop" here.

I'm not even going to go into the fact that the school and police bungled this thing so badly - first shooting, dorm locked down, no information given to the rest of the community, "lock down lifted" then the shootings recommence, police late late LATE on scene, hiding behind trees wasting time etc, coupled with the fact that early in the school year the same campus experienced a SHOOTING (in which a police officer DIED), combined with the fact that Friday the whole place was CRAWLING with law enforcement due to SEVERAL bomb threats that had been made...

I heard from a student on the campus that many of the local police officers are EXTREMELY UPSET because they were commanded to WAIT until a FEDERAL agency shmuck showed up on scene to "handle the incident"...

And to top it all off, the neo-commies are starting to make their incessant bleating for "gun control"... despite the fact that Virginia Tech HAD GUN CONTROL IN PLACE... which is WHY nobody was able to do ANYTHING except DIE at the hands of a mass murderer.

Oh, and nevermind the fact that in 2002 at another college, a shooter went on a rampage and was SHOT BY STUDENTS before he killed more than 2 or 3 people...

Update: Virginia Tech Shooting Massacre: 33 Dead "Worst In American History"

Virginia Tech Shooting Update - A gunman, who is possibly one of the students, is currently on the loose at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. One gunmen has been aprehended and there would appear to be a second one on the loose, according to reports.

...

Police have one shooter in custody and are continuing to search for a possible second shooter.
Remember, Cho was allegedly not identifiable at first because half his face had been blown off... Perhaps he did not actually commit suicide?

WASHINGTON (AP) — The sister of the gunman responsible for the deadliest shooting rampage in U.S. history works as a contractor for a State Department office that oversees billions of dollars in American aid for Iraq.

Sun-Kyung Cho is employed by the Iraq Reconstruction Management Office, according to U.S. officials and a State Department staff directory that says she works from an annex near the department's headquarters in Washington.

Gunman kills 32 at Virginia Tech before being killed

April 16, 2007
BY MICHAEL SNEED Sun-Times Columnist
Sneed hears authorities were investigating whether the gunman who killed 32 people in a rampage on the Virginia Tech campus was a Chinese national who arrived in the United States last year on a student visa.

The 25-year-old man being investigated for the deadliest college carnage in U.S. history reportedly arrived in San Francisco on a United Airlines flight on Aug. 7, 2006, on a visa issued in Shanghai, the source said. Investigators had not linked him to any terrorist groups, the source added.

...

Investigators also believe three bomb threats on the campus last week may have been attempts by the shooter to test the campus security response. In addition, Sneed hears the gunman was described by witnesses as Asian and about 6 feet tall.
A six foot tall Chinese national....Hmmm....

It's possible for a Chinese man to be 6 foot tall. It's not common, but they do exist.

While I understand your concern about a second gunman, there was a lot of confusion that day as to what was going on. My mom lives in Virginia and she said they were saying in one breath he was dead and reporting the next breath that he was taken into custody. However, the latest reports are that there was only one gunman, and he committed suicide.

What do you expect from today's media? Long gone are the days when reporters actually obtained independent verification before they reported news.

Of course, the killer wasn't a Chinese national at all. He was an American citizen of South Korean ancestry.

Isn't there a 7-foot tall professional basketball player from China?
