Did I defend him? No ... I, in fact, stated it was an "incredibly stupid outburst by Wilson." There was no defense given.
What's your definition of shout? If you say no one previously has shouted down a President, then obviously you're excusing the loud chorus/shout of "boo" that W had to deal with, from the Dems, during his speeches to Congress. That DID happen. It was just as disruptive and rude as Wilson's stupid outburst.
The only thing that separates Wilson's outburst from the Dem's is Wilson broke a House rule specifically forbidding members of Congress from calling the President a liar, or saying the President lies, etc.
