Can they, yes, many times I've seen it happen to keep a church open as no man would step up.... many times I've seen women have to be the priest of the home because the man wouldn't step up.... many times I've seen the women have to take roles of leadership as men wouldn't stand up....
But to me the question is, should they? And I don't see in Scriptures that the Bishop of a body of believers should be female, but God knows, the women of a church play a vital and very important role to it's success.
So to me, the answer is yes, they can, but should they?

I don't take the credit for the understanding of the word.That goes to the Father.I do believe the word and that is what I teach.However soul-sleep and the immortal soul is not my strong points.What I study is prophecy.
The only reason I engaged into posting on these threads is I felt that it was my duty as a Christian to put the truth out there because I'm sorry but there are some here that are confused.If these people are PASTORS then there is going to be a whole lot more confused then just the one's on here.
Now I don't know anything about this group(APOSTOLIC belief) or really how I found you guys except by mistake.
Some of you have made it plain you don't like what I have to say,and to be quiet honest I don't care.
The word of God is a double edged sword.Not all people are going to accept the truth of the word and some of it will cut to the quick.

I agree some women have no choice but to step up.God will honer these women.
However if a woman steps up in church and she has no business in doing so?No they should not!

In my opinion, women can be anything or do anything that men can be or do in Christ. This would include women functioning in any of the offices of the 5 fold ministry listed in Ephesians 4:11.

Yes, and although I don't believe in militant feminism, I believe that some women in leadership roles is needed to balance out the male viewpoint.

well i dont think its biblical for them to do so . even tho phebe or however you spell her name lol .. history says she was a deacon and possibly pastored that church. however in seen some women pastors thru the years that if i had to pick between them and there husband i woul;da picked them ...i know a few women pastors now that are doing a good job and i wouldnt dare talk bad about them at all. but i dont feel it is the best thing .....however they sure make great helpers ..thank god for the women that love god and his work!

They can...should they have to....?
It's up to God, not our opinions.
God enables (anoint) some women to do the work of the five fold leadership.

You that think plural leadership is the NT model, and that single-model pastoral models are wrong... what do you think of the thousands and thousands of churches that operate this way? Are they in false doctrine to you?
