We defend the Bible and the Bible tells us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers, and to obey the laws of the land. An ethical lawyer's job is to see the child rapist go to jail. The innocent are to be protected and the guilty go to jail, plain and simple.

Remember what was asked of Baron was would he defend a rapist, or child molester. That was my question, and he gave me his answer.

An ethical lawyer better represent his client with zeal. Your next statement is contrary to Scriture. First, God never uses jail as punishment, and second you better have the evidence or the killer goes free. God's law no mine.

Sure I do but that doesn't mean I don't represent someone who is guilty.

In God's law judgement of the guilty is destruction, plain and simple.

Yet, if they repent they are pardoned, but they must still do the time in the eyes of the law.

What you forget is often it takes a trial to determine guilt or innocence. So who gets to proclaim guilt before a trial? That is the whole point of a trial is to determine if the one on trial is guilty if you can prove they are guilty then we determine punishment. And just like in the OT we have rules of evidence, and rules for punishment.
