Agreed, but the comment made earlier reminded me of a conversation with this young couple recently. I was very surprised that this was an issue as they are very friendly.

I don't know that we have cliques, per se on the forum, but we have posters you seem to post more with. And usually that is folks you tend to agree with. And besides the posses left town.

It's said that the overall personality of a church is usually a reflection of the personality of their pastor. So if pastors are going on internet forums and trash-talking, railing against their brethren, and repeatedly displaying a bad spirit, then what kind spillover effect does that kind of spirit have on their churches?

Seeing some of the stuff some preachers and pastors say on some of these forums, its no surprise to me that some of our churches are in such bad shape.

If this is true, then Mark is one of the most ethical, kind people I know because Pastor Sam Emory is a honorable man. They don't come any finer than Sam Emory and, just for the record, he will strongly and gladly defend and support Mark. Guess the bad spirits must be coming from somewhere else. BTW, I do agree most people are a reflection of their pastor.

Yes I would HOPE the preachers know the Word.

And for me personally, I don't have a problem with preachers having their own forum. I think there are some things that don't need to be discussed with everyone. They have their own issues of problems they face that only they can relate too.

I don't know that I necessarily agree with this statement.

A pastor can teach what is right but that in no way means folks we do as he says.

I will have to disagree. I know a preacher who was a long time member of JP who gave his real name and correct info when he signed up and his account was restricted access. If you would read this entire thread, you would find out what the real happenings were and how they are being corrected. Find my responses to Elder Epley for explanations.
