Reading through this, I get the impression that the Democrats are trying to figure out how to get the pro-life vote without getting the pro-life position.

I can't emphasize enough that Karl Marx said the ends justify the means. The leftist schemers coming up with this stuff for the DNC believe that lying to people to get their vote is not only perfectly acceptable, but a
good thing.
The Democrat legislators vote and strategize in lockstep, no matter the beliefs of various individual Democrats. A pro-life Democrat position can only exist until the tally is in.
