Arrow Sign This Petition

If you think we should be drilling more oil in America please sign the petition found at this link.

This is a new movement started by Newt Gingrich.

Eh, I'm for drilling in our north pasture. We have some new wells being drilled in parts of East TX.

Re: Sign This Petition

I am glad to sign. I wonder if ANY of the average American people oppose drilling here? Seems like its just the rich who can afford to pay high prices that oppose it.

I oppose drilling for oil here .. totally. I am for finding alternate fuel sources. Why do we want to destroy our eco systems further? Oh and by the way I am not rich and I drive a gas loving SUV.

I have to agree. There has to be a better way than hurting the environment and the land. Maybe walking or riding bikes. Mass transit. Alternative energy. I don't think it is time to panic.

Re: Sign This Petition

There is more oil being drilled here now than one can shake a stick at... Alaska is being opened back up and we are opening more things here in the south than most oil companies can keep up with... so many companies that have had their rigs stacked for years are now unstacking and even building soo many the manufactuerers cannot keep up. My husbands company had to hire new engineers to make new parts for part of their rig because the companies that have always built these particular parts are too busy building new rigs.

I am all for it. Yep because it pays my house payment and my car payments and puts my kids in school... But there is honestly a lot more drilling going on than some realize.. another thing and I do not know if yall know this or not... but just because oil is not being "drilled anywhere near you" does not mean its not.. you can be up to 30 miles away and drill to another town... its called directional drilling. They go down and then over many many miles without having to actually drill in that exact area. In many many parts of Right now alone his company and their daughter company have many rigs in... Colorado..Tx over 50 in tx alone.. Arkansas...Mo.....Louisiana....Mississippi...Nebra ska....Heading to the New York area...and in the Gulf and many other areas...those are just their more populated areas.

How is drilling for petroleum "destroying our ecosystem?" Add to that mining for coal.
