Re: What's for Dinner Tonight?

My husband's favorite:

Navy beans
Andouille sausage
Jalapeño cornbread
Sweet tea

I really don't like beans very much, but I have to do this about once a week for Jeff's sake--and I do love the cornbread, so I suppose we can compromise.

I have a story about spanish skills. My hubby is spaniard. The mexican folk usually want to talk spanish to him and he can't speak it. He can "hear" it and kind of communicate but still can't carry on a spanish conversation.

We sold an old car to a mexican guy last week. He asked me to sign his name on the title for him because he didn't know where and how to sign. He wrote it out for me, and I pronounced it in a questioning way to see if I was correct - it was a mouthful. Jon tried to pronounce it and my enunciation was much better than his. The man looked at my husband and said, "She's good." My hubby just laughed and said, "Yeah, she likes tortillas too."
