Re: Gabby's

AG I will be praying... that is just so unfair to the kids. Don't even get me started on how I feel about parents that won't financially support their children....

I've been busy, with very little time to read or post. Besides all the end of the school year homeschooling stuff we're trying to get done and all the household stuff---We have youth camp coming up the first two weeks of June. I'll be helping with registration & checkout on the first & last day of each week of camp. I'll also be working with the craft projects in the afternoon. Then I'll be working in the church office helping out with general stuff the rest of the time during the two weeks of camp. It's going to be pretty busy for me until that is over. (www.campyadah.com for anyone within reasonable driving distance) It is a GREAT camp if anyone wants to let their kids come. We had a group from Texas that came last year, and they were so disappointed this year that they aren't getting to come because they aren't going to be out of school in time.

We also have a horse show on May 24th, and a rodeo May 31st. I will be working in the concession stand for those events.

So when I disappear completely till about the middle of June-- y'all know why.

Re: Gabby's

I feel like things in my life are getting a little more settled.

The last year has been a difficult one, and there was a lot of transition. Between my husband being out of work, and his medical problems. The economy and the job market and financial difficulties, and most importantly the spiritual examination that I have been doing after I left my old church, and began to really deal with some of my issues.

I guess It kind of makes me think of gardening or farming. It's like there was so much junk inside me, and no room for anything to grow. So we just had to plow it all up, and throw out all the rocks and start over.

Re: Gabby's

AG- Praying for you and your kids. I know it must be so difficult dealing with ex's - My nephew and his ex have had their issues- The only ones that seem to get hurt are the innocent kids.
IMOE- Good analogy. You may not see it, but I have seen real growth in your writings this year. I do believe that you are on a genuine search for truth and God will honor that. Remember His time is not our time. Be patient.
Just checking in with everyone!!!!

I do believe it! But thats just because I know that at the beginning of the year my posts were "God is horrible and mean! I hate him. All Christians should be shot! Grrrrrrrrr!"

Or something to that effect, LOL

I remember - But I knew it was just part of the growing process. I see something very special in you. You are one of the most insightful people I have every met (online). You have a real talent for expressing yourself. God has a lot invested in you and it will not go to waste.

Fine! While she doesn't feel the need to be on the forum, she does miss a lot of people here.

I will tell her hello.

Re: Gabby's

QE!!! I know it will be Monday at least before you see this but just wanted to tell you about tonight. Broc graduated!!! It was a beautiful service and the Mayor delivered the commencement message (he is also the pastor of a very soulful church out here and wow it was neat!) It was so sweet.. Hollie got up to sing and said she promised she wouldnt cry and cried and cried talking about her big brother and then she sang and it was beautiful as usual. Broc sat behind her and cried the whole time she spoke and sang. Morgan sat in her seat and cried too.. then he introduced her as the most wonderful woman God could ever give a man I dont think there were too many dry eyes!

When It was time to formally introduce the seniors one by one.. one of our pastors took the mike and said it in the wrestling anouncer voice... MAY!!!! I !!!! WELCOME!!!! BROC!!!! R!!!! And the whole place came unglued and to their feet it was so funny and cool. We had a cookie bar and punch after and then tomorrow night Bro and Sis Baxter and his parents are doing a big grad party. I think we are going over there in the morning. He and Mike had talked about doing something tomorrow so not sure. It was a neat service tho.. thought youd want all the details so there ya go girl
