Wow, that's been a long time. I tell people all the time to ask all the questions the you would ever want to ask, write down all the memories you want to remember. We just never know, people we love can be gone in a moment...

Yes it has been a long time, I was just a teenager. It was not a long drawn out illness so it was a shock to say the least.
That is a great idea and also to keep pictures in a safe place.
