I have been pondering the fact that the whole Tulsa Tea Party is a non-issue in Eastern Canada.
One AD elder attributed the lack of interest in Tulsa to a general decline in holiness standards (His comment, not mine; I don't even know if it's true). His take was that Tulsa was all about some "holiness" preachers from the south.
I really don't have any idea why such a major issue has had such a minor impact. I would speculate that the main reason is that the Tulsa Six lack influence in this end of the empire, but perhaps the reality would be that television is no longer an issue in the land of cold winter evenings and Hockey Night in Canada.
I just found out today that someone I work with is attending the Tulsa Tea Party along with his pastor, so I may have some first hand reports from the event......I could become the new Thad!
My hometown is Edmonton but I've spent most of my life in Montreal and southern New Brunswick. We moved to Calgary a couple years ago.
My brother in law just moved back from Calgary... A friend of ours and his family from Korea have just moved there this week.
My sister in law and her husband are in Edmonton.
