Nope. The fellows who already had a TV in their home despite signing the AS (among the other things they omitted) and didn't abstain from the vote.

Likewise those legalists who chose not to hold the internet to the same principle as television. What an assinine comment to make saying one's vote doesn't count. How desparate are you to find an excuse why legalism lost?

Or they just buy the DVD's and watch the TV shows on their monitors.

As I have said in the past, there was no winners of this resolution. Very few will take advantage of the Res and get on TV. But the door is now open to further press to allow tv to be in all preachers homes. Maybe I am in the minority, but it did not sit well with me having a Pastor that would watch ungodly shows on Saturday night, and then attempt to feed my family's soul on Sunday morning.

I just don't understand the resolution. I mean you can advertise on TV and draw people to your church but then you have to throw it away?
Sounds so well, you know what I mean, right?

I have been a UPCI memeber, and have preaqched in UPCI churches. I am not licensed with the UPCI, or have any desire to do so in the future.
This is my thoughts as well. To have passed a Res to use a technology to witness, while stile having that technology "off limits", sends a mixed signal, IMHO.

I know that first hand of many good minded ministers. It is the AS that makes them feel guilty....

I do not think I broadbrushed. I simply stated that the man that at one time was my pastor was known to watch tv shows that I see as very ungodly. I did not label ALL UPCI ministers as doing such. Of course, "ungodly" is subjective, as we have folks here that watch things I would feel only a lost person would watch.

One has to figure out the reason why people think television is a sin. Since anti-television folks decide to abandon principle for internet, one can easily surmise the legalists are living off of someone else's convictions.

I'll leave you to your opinion, as it is not worth my time.
