Hmm...I wore slits in my skirts from the time I received the HG over 16 years ago...they just had to be below the knee.
They did not like them...esp on the platform....maybe they just didn't say anything to you but I heard it preached more than once.....don't you remember coming to my house and helping me sew up all my splits?
I know a family that adopted a boy from there....it was very very expensive...which made me wonder how much did they really want to get them into homes...we considered it but could not afford it and we are really getting too old!
It's very expensive. I have to wonder why they make it that difficult for people to adopt children from there.

OH yeah...love to hold um, kiss um, pinch their fat little cheeks...but ahhh its so good to give um back to momma....when I was young I was game for it, but not now...I don't seem to be able to tolerate the noise and its hard work keeping them out of trouble!

They prefered not to have them on the platform, but slits never were a huge issue...it was for your daughters church.

Yes, I remember doing that.
I know that they didn't allow them there, but I had more than one conversation about them and the do's and don'ts....and I do remember from the pulpit when they listed what was OK and what was not.......otherwise I probably would not have cared if I had them or not...I had two skirts that I didn't wear because it was four panels with splits in between...I really liked them, but felt peer pressure to not wear them....hummm interesting how we get two points of view on that .....
