Haaaa, even our resident wordsmith can't bring me down on what I'm feeling right now!
Tonight we had a 2 minute sermon and a service that went over 3 hours....deliverance, Holy Ghost infillings, baptism, gifts, and lot's of shockomoo. WOW!!!! What God is doing is simply amazing.
*Naysayer disclaimer* Before you get all, "Saved by Preaching" and all that...We still believe in the Word being brought forth, in fact, we LOVE great preaching...but tonight...was a pillar of cloud service.
I really have no idea if we even can post the service but in case we do.... www.capitalcommunity.ca
Not bragging, proud, nor boastful...just a good report is all!
"In the mouth of two or three witnesses let every word be established." My MIL called me last night and gave me a report on the awesome service you had.
He changed his tune between the morning and night services. In the afternoon he borrowed a bar from John Denver's song, "leavin on a jet plane." However, on the bright side, it did give Mort from Tunaville time to get down and preach a full length sermon.
I don't know how he preached as well as he did under the circumstances. I'd have never been able to keep my train of thought with Monkeyman doing the bucking bronco back and forth across the front, and Destiny doing the holy helicopter up and down the middle aisle.
Note for Mrs. Monkeyman: When I was living at home, my mother used to make me wear a paper bag over my head when we went out in public. You might want to think about that the next time you decide to take Monkeyman to church with you.
I did see your mother and grandmother there and your "twin"....at least that's what I thought he was when you were younger.
I didn't catch the bucking bronco or holy helicopter from Monkey or Destiny...but I sure did see some sights and Holy Ghost fits.
I concurr with Monkey & Rachel about Sunday (and even the whole weekend)....wow....God is Good!

As far as I know, my "twin" was never close enough to even hear the distant rumbling of the Prophetic Thunder. However, if he was in town, and didn't tell me, it wouldn't surprise me. That skinflint would do whatever it took to get out of springing for the price of a cup of coffee.
How many UPC churches in NB looking for pastors now ? Anyone have an estimate?
According to upci.org, the answer would be nine or ten, depending on how you count them. Prophet B had some pretty strong words to say about the situation; I'd quote him, but I can't remember the exact comment. Perhaps somebody with the CD of the service could provide a quote.
