HO, if a blind man came to one of our churches or a paraplegic, would we do a test on them to see if they was Really what they say they was as if they are lying ? shoud we have a doctor on with a medical facility in the back to verify whether they should be allowed to have prayer or not?
if someone is that starved for attention, then there is a mental problem. I don't blame the church or any ministry for someone who comes up and fakes a healing.
I think most doctors can quickly tell if a person is truely a paraplegic or not though. outward diagosis can be done quickly as opposed to testing of bodily fluids
Thad, you are making a lot of sense. Just thought I would let you know that. When you get up off the floor from shock feel free to respond. I still think BH is a fraud, but you are right about us taking people's word for what they had and them claiming their healing. The way HO is putting it it makes it sound like a doctor has the final say on whether God performs a healing or a miracle. I did not realize God has to be verified through a doctor. LOL!
To me, people coming to repentance at a revival would not be indicative of preacher annointing, or usher annointing for that matter.
And I did not mean that one has to be perfect for God to use him. But if a "gift being without repentance" means nonChristians are performing miracles etc., because of something that was bestowed on them years ago before backsliding away from God... - I would see that as very problematic.
I want you to know I picked this post only because I needed a jumping in point to say something. God's Word is annointed regardless of who it is that is preaching it.

You still don't read my posts, do you?
I'll say it loud and clear this time.
I'M NOT THE ONE WHO SAID THAT A DOCTOR IS THERE TO VERIFY HEALINGS, CHICAGO PASTOR DID!!!!
Benny is the one who has docs on hand to verify the workings of God. Since I have said this in at least one other post, how can you say above that I'm making it sound like it's my idea???
If you read my original post on this thread, I made the statement that there is no way docs can verify healings.

I wonder what kind of doctor they are? I remember Cannonball Run, the movie. They needed a doctor for the ambulance...the best they could do was a proctologist...well never mind
So, I will not confess on a public internet forum that I know what you are talking about, as I did see that movie as a teenager. Dad had cable TV with HBO and the MovieChannel
Is that really being fair ?? while I am no big fan of Benny, that is sucha ridiculous requirement. when is the last time we required doctor's with Xray machines inside OUR churches to validate the miraculous power of God? we take God at his word and the Peoples'word. If they claim THEIR Healing, I think we should accept it - It's between them and God.
let's fight fair
THere's a big difference between folks in the local church being healed and strangers who show up at a big to-do like the Hinn shake down event. If somebody in my local church has a serious health condition, I am very likely going to know about it. And, I will soon see a change for the better in that individual when God heals them. These same things cannot be said for the visitors to the Hinn circus.
and it's NOT happening in our churches Either Dave. show me where the UPC churches are on Par with what took place in the book of Acts.
It has happend overseas in 3rd world countries
No, its not happening here in America like it is elsewhere in the world, especially in 3rd world countries. This is because we have our health insurance, medicare, medicaid, medi-cal, and even the chance to drop into an Emergency Room at the local hospital whether we have money or not.
