My grandmother raised her kids in church and all of them have problems --the youngest has been in jail many times and spent time in prision. He still lives a horrible lifestyle.
But on the other hand....
I didn't grow up in church. My homelife was often violent. But I had a choice even as a young person on which road to take. Thankfully I had a prayin grandma that helped me along the way.
All of my siblings live for God but we all have said at points in our life that it (God) was our only source of peace.

Dear Halo...
Isn't it awesome the way that God knows those who are his and brings people out of some very difficult situations. Your grandmother's prayers were stored up for God to pull out in every time of hurt, pain, and crisis.
Jehoveh Shalom has been the peace for many of us through difficult times.
for sharing your story with us.
Blessings, Rhoni

Sis. Carey,
How is Kyle today? Been praying for him. I am so glad you and your husband have a passion to make a difference in the lives of those struggling and hurting.
May God richly bless you!

Gooood Mooooorning Ladies!
I am sorry I haven't been around as much, but lately I have read much more than I have posted!
I have remembered many requests for prayers.
QE-Gestational Diabeties/Pregnancy/Finances/Kyle/Job.
Rhoni-Doing great on your relationship with your family-God is leading you.
You can do the right thing.
CareyM-God is still working even if it doesn't come in the manner/time frame we desire.
Myhaloisintheshop-good to see you around.
STS-I know it is hard to be away from your hubby, but good to see you are keeping yourself busy.
To others if I missed you-I am sorry. I haven't had my Tim Horton's this morning so I am technically half asleep.
I pray you all have a great day.

Good morning everyone!
My husband left me a mushy card and some Dove Chocolates (my favorite) this morning for our anniversary. We are suppose to spend the afternoon together and go for lunch when he gets home from running some errands.
It was silly hat day at the boys school today and we only have a couple silly hats and needed 3--My 8 year old decided to wear a diaper as a hat. The school crossing guard got a good chuckle from it. Chase was just beaming--I guess that was the effect he was goin' for...lol

Just a little something to share....
I know most of us have read this before but today it touched me differently and I felt the need to share it on various websites. I hope it helps someone.
A Motivational Story with Wisdom-
The Trouble Tree
by Author Unknown
The carpenter I hired to help me restore an old farm house had just finished a rough first day on the job. A flat tire had caused him to miss an hour of work, his electric saw quit, and now his ancient pick-up truck refused to start.
As I drove him home, he sat in stony silence. When we arrived he invited me in to meet his family. As we walked to the front door, he paused briefly at a small tree, touching the tips of the branches with both hands. When opening the door he underwent an amazing transformation. His tanned face was wreathed in smiles; he hugged his two small children and gave his wife a kiss.
Afterward he walked me to the car. We passed by the tree and my curiosity got the better of me. I asked him about what I had seen him do earlier.
"Oh, that's my trouble tree," he replied. "I know I can't help having troubles on the job, but one thing's for sure, they don't belong in the house with my wife and children. So, I just hang them on the tree when I come home in the evening and then I just pick them up again in the morning."
"Funny thing, though," he smiled, "when I come out in the morning to pick 'em up, there ain't nearly as many as I remembered hanging there the night before."

Thanks to those of you who joined in prayer for Kyle. I have not spoken to him today but I know my husband spoke with him last night for awhile and he seems to be doing better. He gets so hung up on things that don't matter. So, my husband tried to get him to see that he needs to keep coming for God not for anyone else and the importance of praying everyday and giving you problems to God and let him take care of them. He has a long road ahead of him but I think with much prayer he will be fine. He has such potential to be a huge soulwinner!! Everyone he knows comments on how different he is and how he seems so much happier now.
Well, I keep getting interrupted here at work Lol, so I'll be back shortly!!
