LOL!! Now Monk, I don't make lists...Thaddy makes lists. :sshhh

I just jot down whatever drops in my inner beings, and though you haven't been mentioned by name, sir, I did say a number of times that I appreciate all here...that be you, too!!

If I make it way over to N.B., I would honored to meet y'all...

ML, do you have the scoop on what's happening in Sussex? I couldn't believe the new construction going on there and the new stores that have opened up there. I just read in the newspaper on Monday that the Potash Company is planning on digging a new mine that will double their production. Is it true that oil has been discovered in the area?

I haven't heard anything about oil, but there is a lot of buzz about natural gas. Here's an article, a little outdated, but it gives the basics.

Sussex gas driller targets U.S. market

Last Updated: Wednesday, March 29, 2006 | 2:21 PM AT

The petroleum development company Corridor Resources is preparing to drill 20 more natural gas wells in the McCully gas field near Sussex, N.B.
Company president Norm Miller spelled out his plans at an industry meeting in Halifax on Tuesday. He says the goal is to get enough gas and raise enough cash to tap into the North East Pipeline that carries natural gas to the United States.
Miller says two wells are already producing, eight are drilled and ready to tap, and he plans to drill 20 more in the Sussex area during the next 2½ years.
He wants to approach the financial community to raise $80 million for a gas plant and to tap into the North East gas pipeline, which already carries gas from the Sable offshore project to markets south of the border.
Miller says the company needs the money by late spring. "It will be about half that going into drilling the wells and about half going into the facilities."
Corridor Resources found the natural gas field almost by accident. The company drilled a well for the Sussex Potash Corporation looking for a place to dump waste salt water. The company didn't find one, but struck gas instead, in a place where Corridor had always wanted to drill.
Now the company's problem is what to do with the gas it has found. The Potash Corporation uses some gas to dry potash, but so far the mine is Corridor's only customer. That's why the company must connect to the pipeline that carries gas to customers in New England.
"Otherwise we have stranded gas, nowhere to go," said Miller. "So connecting to the pipeline is absolutely critical to raising funding and moving ahead with larger elements of the project."
Miller told the business crowd in Halifax that his company also has the rights to promising gas leases in various parts of New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and off the coast of Cheticamp in Cape Breton.
However, he says for the moment all efforts will focus on developing gas and markets for the McCully Field near Sussex.
Uranium in the Cambridge Narrows area is a big topic right now. With Uranium up to $130 from $10, prospecting for Uranium is a big deal.

On the retail side, I think that the new Wal Mart has really established Sussex as the shopping center that it always claimed to be.

I think that, from the evident boom in Sussex, the Town Council has been sowing its increased tax revenue to TBN, and reaping a hundredfold harvest.

Did you see the new "chapel" that they're building at Bethany Bible College?

It's pretty hard not to notice. Very impressive.

Saunders Irving Chapel

On September 13, 2005 we broke ground for this new Chapel. Dr. John C. Maxwell was guest speaker and joined Mrs. Jean Irving as co-chairs of the Decade of Development Capital Campaign. What a historic day in the life of Bethany Bible College!

The Saunders Irving Chapel will serve as the heart of campus and centre for spiritual life. Here students and staff will regularly meet with God to nurture a life of worship and devotion. Here hearts will be set ablaze with the love of God. In a spiritually enriched campus environment where all students are preparing for ministry - this Chapel is uniquely a place where students will pray, sing, learn to preach and deepen their walk with God. The Chapel will serve at the core of our mission to prepare world-class Christian leaders for ministry.

By God's Grace, as one enters this Chapel there will be an immediate sense of the sacred presence of God - His majestic transcendence as well as His nearness and intimacy. Outwardly, a modern reflection of the classic and historic lines of great places of worship will make this building recognizable as our centre for worship.

Inside the Chapel the sense of vertical lift, use of light, and warmth of ambience will both inspire and invite worshipers into the holy presence of God. The strength of its presence will testify to the central place worship has in campus life and in preparation for ministry. Its height and stateliness will lead the campus forward as Bethany takes her place among leading institutions in North America for ministerial education.

Strategic Design
Main floor seating - 650
Choir & instrument section seating - 60
Balcony Overflow seating - 200
Narthex overflow seating - 100
Maximum seating including 2nd Phase balcony - over 1,000
Approximately 14,000 square feet per floor
Celtic Cross will crown the steeple rising 80 feet above the crest of the hill, clearly distinguishing this as a place of Christian worship.
