Sounds like the same rumour that I have heard, but I don't want to say too much because I'm a little uncertain about my source. Speaking of a St. Stephen connection, I've been hearing some very good reports about Missionary Jim Poitras. I look to see him become RFS for Africa at some point, and possibly the next Director of FM. He certainly has exceptional ability and is developing the portfolio of experience.

God bless all of our Canadian Missionaries.

I believe this is a deceptive spirit that is intended to draw attention away from Jesus Christ to self and fallen angels. We are advised to try the spirits whether they be of God or not. This is definitely a NOT!

I can verify that it's not a rumour. I spoke to the person personally and he informed me that he is taking the church founded by E.S. MeKeen in Calgary. He seemed to be quite excited about the move and the potential of this smaller , but solid congregation. I am sure he will tap into that potential.

I assume from True North's comment: "And another one bites the dust......" that the Calgary Church under discussion is not UPC. I hope that the good brother finds success and great blessing in Calgary.

I don't think the church is UPC however it should be no problem for the good brother to keep his credentials.
How many more pastors in that 35-50 sweet spot can NB afford to lose?

On this topic there are many things that could be said, but they are better left unsaid. It's no wonder that pastors are erecting incorporations between themselves and the district. The next few years should answer your question. Right now, a full 50% of AD ministers are over 50 years old and another 25% are in their forties, many in the mid to late forties. The end result is that more than 75% of AD ministers are over 40.
