We've been in Gaffney SC in a little storefront building for a few years now. We're non-501c3, not incorporated with the state, and I wake my sleepy hinder parts up every morning and go to work to provide for my families needs.
We've never really been part of the church "system" so there was nothing to come away from. I have nothing against the paid ministry, I've said before if you have a church large enough to support a pastor the flock probably keeps you busy enough to earn your keep!
