Re: One of my cats died.

Hated to hear about your cat.We are dog people but have had some cats through the yeras. My wife has been wanting one again for some time now and a couiple of weeks ago our niece a mile down the highway called and told her she needed her to come over. Her and her kids had found a tiny kitty, probably 4-6 weeks old waling on the edge of the busy highway she lives on. I am sure somebody dumped it there. Of course my wife brought it home so now we have a kitty. The bond we develop with good pets is strong and it sure hurts when we lose them to something like that.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

My daughter found a new born kitten on US 1 Federal Hwy in Fort Lauderdale. She bottle fed the kitten until it was able to be weened. That was years ago and the cat is still strong and healthy today. Both my daughters and my wife found a kitten in a wheel well of a car. It was crying and they rescued it. That cat is still with us. Our one other cat was brought into the house as a kitten but it’s a domestic cat, from domestic line. My outside cats are all feral and they only come around me. As for dogs I’ve had pit bulls (and Boxers) all my younger years. Cats are way easier to leave when traveling, while dogs need huge amount of care and excercise. We just have too much going on to have pit bulls at this time. My daughter wanted a pit bull but it would have to be introduced as a young puppy. To all the chickens, turkeys, and cats. I can’t afford accidents or drama in my old age.
