Re: Who was Harry Morse ?
Harry Morse on the Oneness of God.
Yes it is true that you and Ellis Scism's little book helped to encourage me to study more and more along some lines that i felt had a better Bible teaching on the subject. I never had been in full sympathy with our radical Oneness folks.
.....
"I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me" with other scriptures supporting it. This gives his start as the Creator before anything was created but he emanated forth from God. He first emanated as the Word or Logos in Jn. 1:1 as such he was the Creator and was manifested in about 10 theophanies in the Old Testament and finally in the fullness of time when it was time to bring about full redemption. The Logos took on flesh and tabernacled in it ( Jn. 1:14) and as such it was the Logos called me in Hebrews 1:5.
This is part of a letter from Harry Morse to C.H. Yadon in 1945.

Re: Who was Harry Morse ?
David Hopkins was a student of Harry Morse in 1938. He does not show up in the AOG archive search.
The hunt is on

Re: Who was Harry Morse ?
Part of a letter from Frank Ewart to A. D. can Hoose dated 10/16/1945
“Since Harry Morse broke ranks and decided that we were all wrong, after all, in saying that Jesus was God veiled in flesh, making One God, and is preaching and teaching in his own mission that Jesus was a created Being, and is separate from the Father. I have felt like throwing my hat into the ring, and doing what I can to sustain the saints in the great revelation that shook the world since 1914...He had promised to refrain from making an issue out if it...He told me that Moore and Goss examined him and said they could see nothing in it to oust him from the organization for. We know how flimsy Goss is on the doctrine, and Moore is more of a Trinitarian than a ONe God man. I heard him say from a Conference platform, that baptism in Jesus Name had nothing whatever to do with salvation...That theory destroys the doctrine of the atonement, for if Jesus Christ was a created Being, He was no more dignified than Adam, and his blood couldn’t make atonement for a created race. If we say like the Trinitarians, that the Son was born back in Eternity, and call Him, The Eternal Son, then there were two Sons begotten and born, and God went into the business of raising a family away back before Bethlehem. The whole thing is unsound and absurd. I told Harry Morse in a letter that if he had a Being separate from the Father running around back in eternity, he was no nearer the real truth than the Trinitarians. I don’t believe that he ever did get the present message.”

A word of caution there would not have been a nickle’s Difference between Goss and Vanhoose. Which Moore is this I wonder? Also Ewart for a season embraced a form of universalism lost his following over it.

Re: Who was Harry Morse ?
My copy of Jehovah Jesus was a gift from Charles Yadon to William Young. The book is the 1952 edition.
Who was William Young ??
The next owner was Anita Ward of Seattle, Washington. Her biography does not indicate she was Pentecostal.
