I changed my position.

Today I changed my position on women’s pants. Not that they are a man’s garment, but that they are immodest.

This is what happened. I was at therapy. One of the women on staff was wearing a pair of women’s pants. She wasn’t dressed like a slut. She doesn’t even give off that kind of a vibe. The pants accented every curve.. hips, waist, legs, and her...

There is no way that any cut of pants on her would be modest. I’m out and about, looking around, you know, for research. Women need to wear a skirt or a dress. Some women need to wear a dress- a skirt would not be modest.

Re: I changed my position.

I agree that pants are generally not as modest as a dress or skirt. Even if the skirt is tight, pants are not as modest. And, generally, the "majority" of Christian women don't wear really tight dresses and/or skirts - regardless whether someone starts a thread and posts a few photos of some of the youth. I remember that happening after every Conference, ad nauseam, on NFCF.

I don’t think of that forum much, not since Ichbod was written over the door of that place. I don’t recall those posts. Lol

We had a decent sized youth group and only 2 girls would wear really tight or revealing skirts. I don’t recall seeing many youth wearing slut skirts at section or district sanctioned events.

Right, a few girls will wear tighter skirts. They just don't want pockets or elastic waists that make them feel as though they appear fat.

Re: I changed my position.

I prefer that women would wear ankle length skirts or dresses. Tho I certainly would never say as a GENERAL STATEMENT that skirts are always more modest than pants.

If pants are immodest on a woman how are they not immodest on a man?

They make them that way on purpose. That's the whole purpose of the woman Jean industry as a whole.

They make skinny jeans for men, but they don't design them to do that.
