What do you mean inadvertently?
Where does it say impregnate in the KJV?

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,....Jesus?) full of grace and truth.

Right, in John 3:16, God did not give His only begotten self.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten SELF, that whosoever believeth in God's flesh should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Nnnnno.

Re: Seconds of Pre Embryonic Life of Jesus Christ?
So how then and on what basis is this entire sect of religion built?
A scene from the gospels - Matthew 3
"And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him"
"And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
So this, to me, has always been a convoluted and twisted teaching which is contradictory to the words in the verses. Not "this is me". Separate.
The Quran: defines Jesus as a messenger to the Jewish people who they rejected resulting in their punishment. Jesus was more than a messenger however as it is mentioned that he witnesses against unbelievers at judgment. The Quran also states that God was not begotten nor begets. It says God creates what He wills.
"Verily, the likeness of ‘Iesa (Jesus) before Allah is the likeness of Adam. He created him from dust, then (He) said to him: “Be!” – and he was."
Comparable to Adam. No conception, no Godly DNA - created.
Which erupted an argument in another thread. Not the intention here. The intention here is: Scrolling through every single mention of Jesus, in your book, he seems to be something different than what is taught here. So these verses I think should be broken down one by one so that He can be understood for who He was and what he was sent to teach and do.

wii - that is not my memory of how the quran treats the conception and birth of Jesus. I am at work and do not have time to research, but what passage is that and what about the other passages that speak of his birth?

It is however a direct quote. As was Matthew. It was mentioned not to bring debate about birth/death but as one example of one description of how Jesus came into being. Which - this thread is about. All of the others? Down in the debate room. Whats that nausea drug? Take phenergan before you dive down there. LOL
