Actually it was three verses in my first post on this specific topic.
And there are probably more if I took the time to search.
And I really do not understand your last sentence.
To be honest, I am really not that interested in trying to prove anything to you.
You have your mind made up and nothing we say or do can change it.
I will ask you how as this "truth" you have found changed you?
And if you truly believe it, why do you not start your own church?
As I said a long time ago on this thread, if you can read the first chapter of John and that not show you what is right, than nothing I can say will change your mind.
I have been around long enough to see your kind come and go.
However, the seed of confusion usually sprouts in the next generation as well, just in a different form.

I am only chatting as one former H/U to another current H/U.

I am hoping someone as skilled as Bernard can "commentary" me back to believing the 2 are one person, but it is impossible to prove with scripture.

"My kind" are inquisitive folks, and seek answers to Biblical questions, that folks cannot answer.

I want to know exactly what the 1st century church was saying and teaching before the quagmire of commentary swallowed it's pure meanings.

Listen, I was a Catholic that became oneness Apostolic/Pentecostal, which I appreciate. The church I was in, trained us in oneness theology very thoroughly, and I taught it to others and openly debated trins as needed. I used to listen to debate tapes for hours as Marvin Hicks clobbered Oscar Hill for my instructional entertainment, thinking all the while, we had perfect truth. The oneness doctrine was the very last thing I have questioned over the years, but found it as the most important subject that needed to be overhauled.

If making the 2 beings into 1 being is your thing, I will not dispute your beliefs, but I cannot continue redefining these verses I am posting in my head when I read them any longer.

As for starting a church, no thank you. I am happy for my lifestyle and the Lord has not called me to such a task.

This is HUGE to me, and I feel closer to my 1st century brethren and their doctrine of the Godhead.
