A Velie still pastors the Pentecostal Lighthouse in West Melbourne Florida.

Joel Velie baptized me in Jesus name, Kevin Velie is a music minister at the church I currently attend.

They are old school, traditional, wives don't work, children are homeschooled. For generation after generation they have been a blessing to the community.

That's pretty cool. I've met quite a few people who have been baptized by the Velles.

The picture with the boat is from Eau Clair, Wisconsin. Which means it is around 2 hours from our place in Wisconsin Dells.

Joseph Reznicsek came to America in 1903. By 1917, he was a Pentecostal living in Great Falls, Montana. He and his family move to Gervais, Oregon.

In 1924, he departs from Portland for Calcutta, India. He is there for 6 years and returns.

In 1930 he returns via Vancouver, BC.

In 1931, he is in Oakland, Ca. He meets and marries Delilah Faith Seagraves. Harry Morse performs the ceremony.

1933 Reznicsek returns to Calcutta, India.

In 1953 and in 1954, Joseph Reznicsek preaches revivals for Harry Morse.

Looks like he returns to Oregon. But my data trail runs cold.

His son is named Joseph Arthur Reznicsek. They were members of Wings of Healing Portland Temple Church.

Not sure if Reznicsek was Oneness. Not sure when he did. If it were in Montana, it should not bee too hard.

I do have 2 pics of his departure from Portland in 1924. Harry Morse is there to see him off.

Which means Harry was in Portland in 1924. Time to add that to his bio.

Interesting information. I seem to remember reading that Ellis Scism's family lived near Gervais at Silverton. Was Ellis Scism's interest in India germinated from contact with Joseph Reznicsek? Was Reznicsek the contact that inspired Ellis Scism to attend Morse's school?

The Reznicsek surname is obviously Slavic...possibly Polish, Czech or Slovak...but is spelled with Hungarian orthography. I wonder what the story is there...

Their family came from Hungary in 1903. Scism and Reznicsek drove to Oakland together from Salem, Oregon. Elis was a student and Reznicsek was on furlough from India.

Both were part of the same church in Salem. Ellis wrote of his burden for India having begun while a member there.
