"We Couldn't Play Marbles..."
Old lady, one of the church mother's is talking about the old days and how her parents would not let her play with mables because the Bible said, "Marble not."
Thing is, she is serious. Her parents misunderstood the scripture, but they were sincere.
No marbles. No cards. No dice.
Marble not.
She is praising God now, looking back where God has brought her from. I think she is in her 80's.
Marble.
Not.

Stuck on marble not.
Is church attendance ever a waste of time?
Not today I guess. I praised the Lord earlier but I could have done that in my car.
I am here with my brothers and sisters.
There is value in being here, even when it is not clearly apparent.
Marble not.
How does that happen?

Are you trying to say Marvel not?

There is glorying in the Cross....and then there is glorying in ignorance.
I respect my elders...but I know plenty of old people with bad ideas...

Stan Lee is understandably saddened by that scripture.
She must be a fan of DC.

Re: "We Couldn't Play Marbles..."
Service is over.
Pastor tried to clean up the women's day service speaker's "sermon". Service is over.
They have services 3 times a week. I only come twice. I joined two weeks ago. A couple members have approached me about not coming to the service that I consistently miss.
The marbe not mother knows me by first name. Her mins is very sharp. She calls me to her, hugs me and tells me that she really hopes I got something out of the service.
I smiled and said yes ma'am.
My stomach hurts.

EDITED:
No. That is the point of this thread. She knows NOW that scripture says MARVEL not but not sure if MARBLES are still allowed in her house.
Cards and dice are not. This was plainly stated.
I guess it is good to believe in something...
