Philipp was a deacon when he went to Samaria, and he immersed a lot of people there.
Phoebe was a deaconess who made her way to Rome, under Paul's recommendation. The church in Rome was put under an injunction to assist her with whatever official church business she had.
So, did Phoebe have less rights and privileges to her position in the church than Philipp, or the other male deacons first chosen in
Acts 6?
