Re: If never trumpers voted for trump...
Voted YES on loosening restrictions on cell phone wiretapping.
Voted YES on extending the PATRIOT Act's roving wiretaps.
Voted NO on requiring FISA court warrant to monitor US-to-foreign calls.
Voted YES on removing need for FISA warrant for wiretapping abroad.
Voted YES on reauthorizing the PATRIOT Act.
Voted YES on extending the PATRIOT Act's wiretap provision.
S Amdt 3018 - Prohibits the Indefinite Detention of Citizens and Lawful Permanent Residents: Jeff Sessions III voted Nay (Passage) on this Amendment
Tell me again that I'm, what did you say?, "parroting false accusations."
Now, unfortunately, most GOP in Congress are as abysmal on civil liberties as Jeff Sessions. They believe the sacrifice of liberty is necessary to win their "war on terror."

Re: If never trumpers voted for trump...
"""Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) opposed any reform, saying he has heard from police groups across the country who said civil-asset forfeiture is an important law enforcement tool."""
"""A Washington Post investigation last year found that since 2001, local and state police across the nation have seized $2.5 billion in cash from 62,000 people, without filing warrants or criminal charges. Some property owners had to fight for a year or more to get their money back."""
"""Among those testifying was a motel owner from Tewksbury, Mass., whose property was seized several years ago after police alleged it facilitated drug activity. He was never charged with a crime."""
But I'm just "parroting false accusations."

Re: If never trumpers voted for trump...
Not taking a particular side in this argument, just thought I'd throw this out for consideration.

Also, you can argue with me and, like 0 and DB, claim I'm an idiot, but you can't argue with Rep Amash. Well, you could, but you would lose. Bigly.

Rep Amash is not God, so I could posibly win.

However, between the nature of the accusations and Sessions's actual record of desegregating schools and taking on the Klan in Alabama, it strains credulity to believe that he is a racist.

Agree with you on the civil liberties part.
However, on the Patriot Act Reauthorization, only 8 Senators voted against it.
So, if you are trying to portray Sessions as a radical he is not on this issue.

True, which is why I wrote what I did at the end of the post.

It's alarming that an overwhelming majority of Republicans in Congress believe civil liberties can and should be cast aside at their whim.
