seems to me that if the K insisted upon "church" there, it would support E's pov, wouldn't it?

You tell me:

An example from another thread:

Why do YOU keep pointing to what people think of who is lost when they are trying to get you off the focus of PEOPLE and WHO IS LOST to what must we believe to be saved?

Do unto others, zeep.

Man look how far you've taken this thread offcourse.

So why are you against yourself personally assembling?

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Common Mike you are really starting to sound like a broken record or something.

First off I am pretty sure Shazeep does not mean he does not believe in assembling with other believers. Remember Christ not only used the term "church" but also kingdom of God. In that is seems you have a contradiction in the way you are using the term "church". Even the apostles use the term church both ways. As the local assembly, and the church as a whole, inclusive of all assemblies making up the kingdom of God as a whole. While Catholics twist the term to bring everyone under the Pope, in the true church we are all under Jesus Christ.

um, and you see no problems with this, importing posts from another thread that i answered quite plainly, and simultaneously talking about me derailing the thread.

what? i mean, are you kidding me, or what? Because this is the place where you are best in a position to clarify

not demonstrate a proclivity for confusion, don't you think? Shall we go back a couple posts and see where the thread got derailed, MB? Could you tell me what the point would be, at this stage? Can you finish this sentence, "The thread was just derailed at post ____?"

So, you might see that i define personally assembling and Church in a different manner from you, and perhaps wherever two or three are gathered in My Name as well. When is the last time you had two or three gathered in your "church," MB? During your service? Hmm? Reply to this, and i will answer your "question," which is really kind of an answer, isn't it.

ah, well MB does not care about that! But imo you put it well; although i might suggest that it is Catholicism--and our OP brethren here, of course, under themselves i guess--that does that, while an individual Catholic might often evince an understanding of the latter relationship. No doubt you would agree, just shorthand.

Re: Who's authorized to baptize whom?

Shaz, do you assemble with other Christians, and if so how, when, where? Not needing contact info of course, just a general idea of if you do and how?
