Like I posted in another thread, same book same writer, a few chapters earlier. 1 Corinthians 7:8 but no one makes a doctrine out of that!

Should one be "proud" of their commitment to God? Are you proud of your prayer life? Proud of your Bible reading? Proud of your giving? Proud of your church attendance? Proud of your worship?
Your statement speaks volumes about many whose approach to standards is entirely wrong. No one should be proud of what they do for God. They should be grateful, humbled, joyful---but never proud. No flesh should glory in His Presence.

Re: Uncut Hair
How bout men keep their hair short, pray and worship without a headcovering, women keep their hair long and wear headcovering when praying and worshipping, and move on to more important stuff?

The word proud may not be the most accurate, but lets be honest people are going to have pride about something. I encourage my children to take pride in what their hands find to do.

I think the point Paul was trying to convey is to know who you are in a positive light. Maybe pride sounds bad, but the truth is I am proud of what God has done in my life. The hair on a woman's head is a gift of God. You can be proud in a positive way, IMO. I am proud of my family, church, etc.

Re: Uncut Hair
I am not making hair a salvation issue, but only a Bible issue. truthseeker has made some good points and is sincere in his belief on the subject as do I. I do not view him as an apostate because of his stand. I have many people I call brother and sister who differ with me on this teaching. It will be God we stand before and whose judgement we should fear no matter what your stance.

YES, she should wear a head covering of some type. The particular style or cut is not mentioned.
