3 And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

4 But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the Lord of hosts hath spoken it....

But it Looks like the description of His 2nd coming, introduced before Chapter 4.

If it was fulfilled then as you said, then He had to do it according to scripture, melting mtn's, splitting valleys, treading high places on earth...correct?

Stuff happens to Israel, then it says this.....

We see 2 passages concerning His 2nd coming, then more stuff happens, then the book concludes with His 2nd coming.....

16 The nations shall see and be confounded at all their might: they shall lay their hand upon their mouth, their ears shall be deaf.

17 They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be afraid of the Lord our God, and shall fear because of thee.

18 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.

19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

20 Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.




So what I see is the 2nd coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, in the beginning, the middle, and the end of the book.

The "possibly" thing I mentioned, is just in case God saw things in the Spirit, that we cannot see, and described it to us, using comparisons.

Btw, this is my perspective is of this book, and not a doctrine that I can call absolute.

Good grief! So, what Sean is telling us is that all the above is just his opinion and he can't call it absolute? So, he doesn't know, but anyone who has a differing view is hell bound like an elephant on a banana peel going down a greasy slick steep hill.
